I Can’t Come, Sorry.

Beauty & Tragedy

I can't come

Oh my mountain, why are you crying?

Are those rivers your teardrops, dear?

You call me, but I can’t come, sorry!

I do want to step on your untouched snow,

To see above – the heavens,

To see below – my soulless existence.

But I can’t come leaving behind my life.

Sorry!

Oh you forest, why are you crying?

I saw your sons dead, I’m not lying.

You call me, but I can’t come, sorry!

I do want to visit you,

To touch my real self,

To live in solitude,

Just you being my self.

But I can’t come leaving behind my ties.

Sorry!

Oh my dear river, why are you crying?

I hear your grim crackle, I’m not lying.

You call me, but I can’t come, sorry!

I do want to sit by you,

Swim in you,

Hear your soothing lullaby,

But I can’t come leaving behind my lies.
