Of Another Fashion: An Alternative Archive of the Not-Quite-Hidden but Too Often Ignored Fashion Histories of U.S. Women of Color

A really interesting fashion/social/cultural history blog – Of Another Fashion is an alternative take on the history of American fashion focusing on women of colour. Academic Minh-Ha T. Pham has created a public digital archive of women of colour’s fashion histories with the help of readers who have donated their images, memories and knowledge. There are hundreds of great images and stories that are often omitted from fashion history, so do visit the site to see more. Here are some of my favourite images:
